Wanna be part of CSUN's oldest a cappella group?
Acasola holds auditions at the beginning of each semester, and we're always looking to add to our musical family! Events like Meet the Clubs allows prospective auditioners to meet the members and get more information about what it's like to be in Acasola.
Audition schedules are always posted here, on our Facebook page and Tumblr blog.
The Audition Process
You can pick which audition day to attend, and show up any time within the designated hours. Come with a verse and chorus prepared from a song you think best shows off your voice. (Show tunes discouraged)
We'll take you through warm ups to get a better feel for your range, and if you can, we'll ask you to demonstrate your sight reading skills. (No stress if you don't know how to. It won't count against you!)
If you are asked to attend callbacks, you will receive music to learn.
Callbacks are the Saturday and Sunday after auditions. Generally we hold a callback party on Saturday night to get to know you personally while playing ice breaker games and answering any questions you may have; we'll also perform for you the songs we assign you to learn that weekend. Sunday is when you show us what you've got! We'll go over the assigned music and then ask auditioners to perform in small groups for us. It's super fun, no need to be nervous!
We're looking forward to hearing you at our next audition week! Good luck!
